The BLA claimed responsibility Thursday for a Fidayee attack on a Coast Guard camp in the Panwan area of Jiwani, Balochistan, sying that more than 30 security personnel were killed and dozens injured.
BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch said in a statement that the attack took place at approximately 6:32 p.m., when a Mazda vehicle loaded with explosives was driven into the camp and detonated by a bomber the group identified as Attaullah Baloch, alias “Ajmal,” a member of its Majeed Brigade.
The group said the blast caused extensive damage to the camp structure. It further claimed that a unit it calls the “Fatah Squad” advanced on the site afterward and engaged remaining personnel in close-quarters combat.
Through its official channel, Hakkal, the BLA released a video showing a Mazda truck crashing into the camp. The group stated it will continue attacks on security forces until the so-called “liberation” of Balochistan is achieved.
