QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: A Pakistani Army camp came under attack in Kachi district, while security forces in Zamran were targeted in a separate IED blast, according to sources.
The main Pakistani military camp in Sani, Kachi district, was struck by multiple powerful explosions followed by sustained gunfire heard across the town. Sources said the forces suffered both casualties and material losses as a result of the attack.
In a separate incident in the Jabshan area of Zamran, Pakistani security personnel on foot patrol were targeted by a bomb blast. Sources reported casualties among the troops. Zamran has been the site of repeated attacks on Pakistani forces, with Baloch armed separatist organisations including the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) and Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) having previously claimed responsibility for similar strikes in the area.
No group has claimed responsibility for either attack, and Pakistani authorities have not issued an official statement.
