QUETTA: The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of six operations carried out across multiple areas of Balochistan between March 3 and March 5, 2026. The group said the operations included a highway blockade, attacks on security installations, and the destruction of surveillance equipment.

According to a statement issued by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, fighters from the group blockaded the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor Highway in the Pathak area of Besima on March 5 between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. The group claimed its fighters stopped and searched vehicles passing through the road and briefly detained several individuals suspected of links with state institutions. The individuals were later released after no evidence was found against them.

The BLF further said that Pakistani forces attempted to advance toward the blockade but were pushed back. The group also claimed that two military quadcopter drones used for aerial surveillance were shot down during the confrontation.

In a separate incident on the same day, the group said its fighters set fire to a state communications tower on Dureji Road in Hub, claiming the attack disrupted communications in the area.

BLF also claimed an attack on a Frontier Corps checkpost in the Norgama area of Zehri, Khuzdar, where it said fighters used automatic weapons and caused casualties and material damage.

Another attack was reported in the Doleji area of Jhao, where BLF claimed its fighters targeted Pakistani security forces with heavy weapons while they were strengthening defensive positions near a camp.

Earlier, on March 4, the group said a grenade attack was carried out on the City Police Station in Hub, which it claimed caused casualties and damage to the building.

In a separate incident on March 3, BLF stated that its fighters fired multiple grenade launcher rounds at a Pakistani military checkpost in the Ginnah area of Turbat, saying that the attack caused casualties and damage to military infrastructure.

Pakistani authorities have not yet publicly responded to the claims and the reported casualties and damage could not be independently verified.

The BLF said it takes responsibility for the blockade, attacks on military camps and checkposts, the grenade attack on the police station, and the burning of the communications tower in different parts of Balochistan.
