
TURBAT, BALOCHISTAN: The family of Shahnaz Baloch, a female commander of the Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), has publicly announced their disassociation from her and all activities attributed to her.
Shahnaz Baloch hails from Tump Kulaho, a locality in Turbat, the main city of Kech district in Balochistan. Her mother Rukhsana, grandfather, and maternal uncle held a press conference at the Turbat Press Club, where they formally announced their complete disassociation from Shahnaz Baloch and her activities.
During the press conference, the family stated that Shahnaz Baloch had moved to Oman at a young age and that the family has had no contact or connection with her for approximately 10 to 12 years. They added that she remained in Oman even after her marriage, where she also gave birth to two children.
The family further revealed that Shahnaz Baloch’s father passed away when she was only nine months old, and that the family was never aware of any extremist activities on her part or any links to a banned organization.
Shahnaz Baloch’s paternal uncle and other relatives were also present at the press conference, where they endorsed the family’s position and stated that they have no connection with any of her statements, actions, or activities, nor were they ever informed about them.
The family made it clear that they announce their complete and total disassociation from Shahnaz Baloch and all activities attributed to her.
