Pakistani Army Should Withdraw from Balochistan as Soon as Possible, Says Khan of Kalat

Quetta: Khan of Kalat Sulaiman Dawood Ahmedzai has urged the Pakistani military to withdraw from Balochistan as soon as possible, stating that such a move would be in Pakistan’s own interest. He said the Baloch nation is prepared to provide the army with a safe exit route.

In a statement, the Khan of Kalat said that prolonged war is not a solution to any problem and that Pakistan must now accept that it can no longer keep Balochistan under its control. He claimed that the entire Baloch nation has become part of the armed resistance and is prepared to continue the struggle for as long as necessary in self-defense.

“This is a lost war for Pakistan,” he said, adding that the longer Pakistan continues fighting, the deeper it will move toward destruction.

He further stated that withdrawing troops from Balochistan would allow Pakistan to stabilize its economy and prevent further damage to what he described as an already fragile state structure. “It is better to retreat now than to lose everything later,” he warned.

The Khan of Kalat also urged Pakistan to learn lessons from Britain and the United States, which he said were defeated in guerrilla wars despite their military strength. He emphasized that the Baloch people desire peace but are currently fighting in defense of their land and rights.

He concluded by saying that the Baloch nation has reached a point of no return, warning Pakistan to show mercy toward its economy and state, as continued conflict would bring nothing but devastation.
