In Kech district of Balochistan, Pakistani forces have taken a young man into custody, after which he has disappeared.
The disappeared person has been identified as Yasir, son of Nasir. He was detained during a raid conducted in the Gwakh area of Tehsil Mand around 3 a.m. between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Enforced disappearances have long been a serious issue in Balochistan. According to human rights organizations, dozens of individuals in the province have been detained by security forces at different times and subsequently disappeared.
