According to sources, Professor Shafiq Zahri was unlawfully abducted by Pakistani security agencies from Hub Chowki on December 17, 2025, during a raid on his center. He was taken away for the second time and detained without any legal justification.
Sources further stated that Professor Zahri is the brother of Rashid Hussain, who was also forcibly disappeared. His release was confirmed by his family.
The incident has raised serious concerns among human rights activists, who have condemned the continued harassment and targeting of families of Baloch activists.
