According to data released by the BYC, the following individuals were taken into custody by security and intelligence personnel and remain disappeard, Shakeel Baloch, 15, son of Zardad Parkani, a rickshaw driver from Killi Gohar Abad on Sariab Road, Quetta. The BYC says he was picked up from his home around midnight on April 16, 2026, by officials of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). Ali Baloch, 20, son of Abdul Hai, a student from Killi Ishqna, Mastung. The BYC says he was taken from his residence around 3:00 a.m. on August 23, 2026, by personnel it identified as Military Intelligence (MI).
Bakhtiar Ahmed, 19, son of Abdul Salam, a shopkeeper from Killi Jamal Deeni, Noshki. According to the BYC, he was picked up around 10:00 a.m. on August 23, 2026, from Kechi Beg, Quetta, in what it described as a joint operation involving the CTD, Frontier Corps (FC) and ISI.
Separately, the BYC said two Baloch men who had previously been reported forcibly disappeared were released from custody and returned home, adding that both showed signs of physical and psychological mistreatment during their time in detention. Saddam Bugti, son of Mahot Khan, a resident of Dera Bugti’s main town, was reported forcibly disappeared on August 29, 2026, and released on September 3, 2026.
Saud Bashir, son of Bashir Ahmed, a resident of Alandoor, Balida, was reported picked up on September 4, 2026, and released the following day, September 5, 2026.
Rights groups and the BYC have voiced growing concern over what they describe as a rising pattern of enforced disappearances in Balochistan, and have called on the international community and human rights bodies to intervene urgently.
