QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: In Zehri, an area of Khuzdar and in Shaban, a suburban area of Quetta, a continuing series of aerial attacks, jet bombings and intense military aggression by the Pakistani army has resulted in one woman killed, several injured and dozens of people forcibly disappeared.
According to the source, the curfew that has been in place for several months in the Sunni area and surrounding parts of Zehri tehsil has been further tightened.
According to reports, a woman who had gone to fetch water was killed in a military quadcopter (drone) attack, while two others, including another woman, were seriously injured.
During the same military action, the army took 25 area residents from Sunni into custody and moved them to an undisclosed location, while the suspension of mobile network and communication services in the area is causing severe difficulties in obtaining details about the identities of those affected and detained.
Previously, more than 20 civilians were reported killed and dozens forcibly disappeared in a Pakistani forces operation in the Sohinda area of Zehri.
Meanwhile, in the mountain ranges of Shaban adjoining Quetta, Pakistani air force jets carried out intense bombing last night.
According to local sources, loud explosions were heard in the mountain ranges at midnight and aircraft were seen flying overhead.
This is the second major aerial bombing incident in the past two days. Previously, jet aircraft had also carried out bombing in the Dasht Goran area of Kalat, in which, according to local residents, several houses were destroyed, though no loss of life was reported.
The series of mortar and drone attacks in Mastung, Kech and Zehri continues unabated, over which political and social organizations have expressed serious concern, calling on the international community to intervene to stop the forces’ violence and bombing against civilian populations.
Reports of clashes between armed individuals and Pakistani forces have emerged from the Bencha area of Surab, with helicopter flights also continuing in the area, according to sources.
