BRG Claims Responsibility for Attack on Power Tower in Naseerabad

QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: The Baloch Republican Guards (BRG), a separatist militant group, has claimed responsibility for an explosion targeting an electricity transmission tower in Naseerabad district, according to a statement issued by the group.

The BRG spokesperson Dostain Baloch said the group’s fighters planted explosives on a 220 kV transmission tower carrying power from the Uch Power Plant, near the Mir Hassan area of Naseerabad, on the night of August 27. The group claimed the resulting blast caused significant damage to the tower.

The BRG claimed responsibility for the attack and said such actions would continue until what it called Balochistan’s independence.
