QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: Jaffar Express Suspended Again on Quetta-Peshawar Route Amid Security Concerns
The Jaffar Express service between Quetta and Peshawar will remain suspended on 25 and 26 August as well, due to a series of ongoing deadly attacks by Baloch separatist armed groups on Pakistani military and other security forces in Balochistan, along with continued security concerns.
Separately, the Peshawar-to-Quetta Jaffar Express was cancelled midway at Jacobabad, leaving passengers to face severe difficulties and distress.
Passengers expressed concern over the repeated suspension of train service, saying that frequent cancellations disrupt their travel plans and cause them financial and mental strain. They demanded that railway authorities take effective measures to ensure uninterrupted train service.
