QUETTA, BALOCHSITAN: The protest camp organized by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) against enforced disappearances in Balochistan continued for its 6,335th consecutive day outside the Quetta Press Club.

On this occasion, families of forcibly disappeared persons from Awaran contacted VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch, informing him that security forces had taken Rafique, Shakir and Shakir’s wife Gul Banuk, daughter of Hammal, into custody the previous day from the Kolwah area of Awaran and moved them to an unknown location.

According to the families, the concerned administration has neither informed them of the reasons for the arrests nor provided any information about the whereabouts of the individuals, leaving the families in severe mental distress and anguish.

VBMP Chairman Nasrullah Baloch assured the families that the forced disappearance of Rafique, Shakir and Gul Banuk would be raised with the relevant institutions and the government under the country’s law and that the organization would raise its voice on every possible forum for their safe recovery.

Nasrullah Baloch demanded that senior authorities ensure the immediate recovery of Rafique, Shakir, Gul Banuk and all other disappaered persons. He further demanded that families of detained individuals be provided information about them and that they be produced before a court in accordance with the law.
