QUETTA, BALOCHISTAN: The protest camp organized by the Voice for Baloch Missing Persons (VBMP) outside the Quetta Press Club completed its 6,155th consecutive day on Monday, as families of the disappeared and their supporters gathered once again to renew their demand for justice.
Niaz Muhammad, a member of the VBMP Executive Committee, said the protest is not merely a sit-in — it is a symbol of the pain, hope and struggle of thousands of families waiting for the return of their loved ones. He said that every passing day stands as a testament to the resolve of the affected families, who remain determined to raise their voices until justice is served.
Niaz Muhammad further stated that enforced disappearances constitute a grave violation of human rights and that finding a solution to this crisis is the responsibility of the state. He demanded that all missing persons be either produced before courts of law or released immediately, so that the anguish and uncertainty endured by their families can finally come to an end.
He made clear that this peaceful struggle will continue until every disappeared person has returned home.
