CARACAS: U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States has carried out military action against Venezuela. According to the Venezuelan government, the attacks targeted multiple areas, including the capital Caracas as well as the states of Miranda, Aragua and La Guaira.
In an official statement, Venezuelan authorities said explosions were heard in various locations, while low-flying military aircraft were also observed. The government described the reported attacks as U.S. military aggression, saying that the operations were aimed at seizing control of Venezuela’s oil and mineral resources.
Venezuela stated that it categorically rejects any attempt to take control of its natural resources through U.S. pressure or military force.
Meanwhile, claims by U.S. officials regarding a full-scale military operation or the arrest of Venezuela’s leadership have been independently verified.
