In the Kirky Tajaban area of Kech district, families staged a protest today against the enforced disappearance of four members of a single family, including two women, resulting in the closure of the CPEC highway to all traffic.

According to reports, the protesters blocked the road, halting traffic between Turbat, Quetta, Panjgur, Awaran, Kolwa, and Hoshab. Long queues of vehicles were reported, causing severe inconvenience to travelers.

The families stated that four of their members had been forcibly disappeared, including two women. The missing individuals include 27-year-old Hani Doughter of Dil Jan, who is eight months pregnant; 17-year-old Khair Nisa Doughter of Abdul Wahed; 18-year-old Mujahid, Hani’s brother; along with one other family member. The news of Hani’s pregnancy has sparked serious concern among locals and protesters, who fear for the safety of the disappeared.

Five days ago, the family had also staged a protest in Kirky Tajaban, Kech. At that time, the demonstration was temporarily suspended after negotiations with authorities. However, no progress was reported regarding the recovery of their loved ones, prompting the families to return to the streets.

The protesters demanded the immediate recovery of the disappeared individuals and called for an end to enforced disappearances in the region.
