Noshki, Balochistan : The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed responsibility for an ambush on Pakistani military forces in the Noshki, stating that eight army personnel were killed and at least four others injured during a coordinated attack on Monday.
According to a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, Baloch Freedom fighters established a blockade on the Quetta-Taftan highway near Sher Jan Agha in the Kishangi area. The checkpoint operation lasted for four hours, during which freedom fighters conducted searches and monitored movements along the strategic route.
The statement said that as a Pakistani army convoy approached the location, a separate squad of BLA fighters ambushed the forces using rockets and other heavy weaponry. The attack reportedly destroyed three military vehicles and resulted in significant casualties.
“Eight occupying enemy personnel were eliminated on the spot, while four others were injured. Three vehicles of the convoy were destroyed,” Jeeyand Baloch said.
The BLA described the operation as part of its ongoing armed resistance against the Pakistani state, which it accuses of occupying Balochistan and committing human rights violations.
