In Balochistan’s Panjgur district, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) organized a protest rally which saw large public participation. The demonstration was held against extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances by security forces, and the unlawful arrest of BYC leaders, including Dr. Mahrang Baloch.
BYC had announced province-wide protests across Balochistan, and in response, a well-organized rally was taken out yesterday from Tasp Star Chowk in Panjgur. Protesters raised strong slogans against state repression, human rights violations, and the ongoing Baloch genocide.
According to the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, the people of Panjgur turned out in large numbers, making the protest a success. The demonstrators demanded the immediate release of all forcibly disappeared persons and an end to the oppression against the Baloch people.
BYC announced that the protest campaign will continue, with the next demonstration to be held tomorrow in Turbat, district Kech, followed by similar protests in Mastung and Kharan.
BYC stated that state aggression against the Baloch nation is increasing, but the Baloch people will not bow to oppression. They emphasized that BYC’s resistance is peaceful, aimed at ensuring the safety, dignity, and rights of the Baloch people.
In conclusion, BYC appealed to the public to unite for their rights, break the silence, and stand firm in the face of injustice.
