Grenade Attack on Non-Local Residence in Gwadar: One Attacker and Policeman Killed in Gunfire Exchange

Gwadar: Unknown armed assailants launched a grenade attack on the residence of Punjabi settlers in Gwadar on Sunday, resulting in a deadly exchange of gunfire that left one policeman and one attacker dead. Three non-local individuals were also injured in the incident.

According to initial reports, the attack occurred near Bilal Mosque on Syed Hashmi Avenue, where unidentified attackers targeted a residential quarter housing people from Punjab with a hand grenade. The assailants opened aerial fire following the explosion and fled the scene.

The explosion left three Punjabi residents injured, who were immediately shifted to GDA Hospital for medical treatment.

Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, triggering a heavy exchange of gunfire between the police and the attackers. During the clash, one police officer and one of the attackers were killed, while the remaining suspects managed to escape.

The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and investigations are underway.
