
A series of coordinated armed attacks swept across various regions of Balochistan on Friday, targeting Pakistani forces, police and Levies checkpoints, government buildings, and non-local individuals, resulting in multiple casualties and significant property damage.
In the Bunistan area of Panjgur, armed assailants seized control of a police checkpoint. Local sources reported that several members of the Qasim group, allegedly affiliated with state-backed death squads, were wounded during a blockade in the area.
In a separate incident in Washbod, Panjgur, armed men intercepted police vehicles, detained the officers, and confiscated their weapons. They subsequently set a local police station ablaze.
In the Uthal Bazaar area, three men from Punjab were killed in an armed attack. The attackers managed to flee the scene before authorities arrived.
In Hoshab, a subdivision of Kech district, armed fighters attacked the town, taking control of the Levies station and the local NADRA office, both of which were later set on fire. Reports suggest several individuals were detained at checkpoints set up by the assailants. Meanwhile, heavy gunfire and explosions were reported near the main military camp in the area.
In Bolan’s Bhag and Dhadar regions, police stations came under grenade attacks, causing property damage. No confirmed reports of casualties have been released yet.
In Kharan’s Hindu Mohalla, an unidentified gunman shot and killed a man named Khuda Nazar. The town of Buleda also experienced heavy gunfire and explosions.
Separately, in Naseerabad district, local sources confirmed that Union Council Chairman Manzoor Ahmed and Mukhtar Gichki were abducted by unknown armed men in the Hotabad area. Investigations are ongoing.
