BLF Claims Responsibility for Multiple Attacks on Police Checkpost, Mobile Tower, and Pakistani Forces in Gwadar and Zamuran

The Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF) has claimed responsibility for a series of coordinated attacks in Gwadar and Kech districts, targeting police infrastructure, telecommunication equipment, and Pakistani military forces.

In a statement released by BLF spokesperson Major Gwahram Baloch, the BLF announced that on the evening of May 5 at approximately 6:30 PM, BLF fighters attacked and set fire to a police checkpost in the Talar area of Gwadar. According to the statement, the fighters seized weapons and other items from the post before leaving the area.

The spokesperson alleged that the checkpost was being used to extort money from local oil traders and drivers, collecting heavy bribes daily. He emphasized that the attack was in response to public complaints and clarified that no police officers were harmed during the incident due to their Baloch ethnicity, although they were warned and released. All local vehicles present were reportedly allowed to leave safely.

Later that night, BLF fighters targeted and destroyed equipment at a Zong mobile tower in the Rekani Cross area, which they claimed was being used for surveillance by Pakistani forces.

The statement further mentioned a direct armed clash at Kalk between BLF fighters and Pakistani troops as the former were retreating from the site of operations. The BLF claimed that Pakistani forces suffered personnel and equipment losses in the encounter.

On May 6, at around 2:00 PM, BLF fighters carried out another attack on a Pakistani military post in Kotan, Zamuran (Kech), using sniper fire to kill one soldier.

Major Gwahram Baloch stated that the BLF accepts full responsibility for all these attacks and reiterated the group’s commitment to continue its armed struggle until the liberation of Balochistan is achieved.
