The first organizing body meeting of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Karachi Zone was held under the chairmanship of Central Organizer Shahzaib Baloch. Central Organizing Committee member Miraj Shad Baloch participated as the guest of honor.
The meeting began with a tribute to the martyrs, followed by an introductory session. Miraj Shad Baloch presented the central circular and briefed participants on the party’s recent organizational progress and policies.
A key segment of the meeting focused on the changing global power dynamics, the shift in alignments since the Cold War, and the evolving world order—especially the Middle East crisis, the India-Pakistan conflict, tensions between Iran and Israel, and the global roles of China, Russia, and the US in the capitalist system. Speakers emphasized how the two World Wars resulted in immense human loss and eventually led to a new world order. This gave rise to military alliances such as NATO, CENTO, the Warsaw Pact, and SEATO, which shaped global bipolar tensions between the US and the Soviet Union during the Cold War.
After the Cold War ended and the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the world shifted into a unipolar system dominated by the US. However, changes in US foreign policy—especially during Donald Trump’s presidency—indicate a transformation in global alliances, with the US now seeking closer ties with Russia and China. Though both the US and Russia are capitalist states, and China’s economic structure is deeply rooted in capitalist principles, its political ideology remains communist, which poses a challenge to the emerging new world order. Ongoing issues such as US-China tensions over Taiwan, and the Iran-Israel and Iran-Saudi conflicts, also play crucial roles in shaping this new global landscape.
In this context, it was emphasized that the Baloch nation must be prepared for potential geopolitical shifts. If the Baloch national movement is well-organized and strong, Balochistan could become a game-changer and benefit from this evolving world order.
The meeting’s main agenda was the strengthening and expansion of the organizational structure. Given the geographical and political complexity of Karachi, emphasis was placed on forming units, building ideological and organizational training policies, and enhancing coordination.
In the concluding session, a new organizing body for Karachi Zone was announced:
- Alam Askani Baloch – Zonal Organizer
- Zeeshan Baloch – Deputy Organizer
- Shameema Baloch, Yasir Baloch, and Ehsan Baloch – Organizing Body Members
