
Awaran, Balochistan – May 1, 2025. Armed assailants launched a fierce attack on a convoy of Pakistani forces in the Kolwah area of Awaran district, Balochistan, resulting in multiple reported casualties.
According to sources, the incident took place around noon near the Bani area, where the convoy, consisting of four vehicles, was ambushed while passing through the region. At least two vehicles were heavily damaged in the assault, inflicting significant losses on the security forces.
Witnesses reported prolonged gunfire during the attack, with gunshots echoing in the area for an extended period.
Following the assault, Pakistani forces cordoned off the area and launched a military operation in response.
It is worth noting that Pakistani forces have faced a surge in deadly attacks across Balochistan in recent months, with frequent reports of fatalities among personnel. However, official sources often refrain from disclosing these casualties.
While the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) has previously claimed responsibility for similar attacks in Awaran, no group has yet claimed responsibility for today’s incident.
