Three Enforced Disappearances by Pakistani Forces Reported in Bolan and Dera Bugti

Balochistan: Reports have emerged of three cases of enforced disappearances carried out by Pakistani forces in two separate incidents in the Bolan and Dera Bugti districts of Balochistan.

In Bolan’s Dhadar area, two individuals were forcibly disappeared after being taken into custody by Pakistani forces. According to local sources, the victims have been identified as Gulzar Muhammad Shahi, the father of BLA Majeed Brigade fidayee attacker Saddam Baloch alias Wadud, and Saddam’s brother.

Witnesses report that late at night, forces raided their home in Mashkaf, entering by scaling the wall. Both men were subjected to physical assault before being taken away. Since the raid, there has been no information about their whereabouts or condition.

In a separate incident, security forces abducted another individual in Dera Bugti. According to sources, CTD and intelligence personnel took Anwar, son of Mugeem Bugti, into custody outside the courthouse in Sui Tehsil on the morning of the previous day and transferred him to an undisclosed location. Reports suggest that Anwar Bugti is a personal of the Levies Force.

The families of the disappeared individuals are still awaiting information on their loved ones, while human rights groups continue to raise concerns over the growing number of enforced disappearances in Balochistan.
