Pakistani Forces Celebrated the Killing of Two Innocent Children as an Achievement, Now Hiding Their Bodies in Shame: Families

Kech (Monitoring Desk) The families of two boys, 13-year-old Mehrab s/o Rahmdil and 17-year-old Khan Muhammad s/o Haibtan, have accused Pakistani forces of killing their children while they were hunting seasonal birds in Buleda’s Kocha Tara Jabreen area on April 4, 2025.

According to the families, the children were unarmed and simply out hunting when a patrolling convoy of the Pakistani forces allegedly opened fire, killing both on the spot.

The grieving relatives also claim that even after five days, the bodies have not been handed over, nor have they been shifted to the mortuary of Turbat Civil Hospital. The families fear the corpses may begin to decay due to lack of preservation.

Political and social activist Wasim Safar, in a statement, condemned the killings and accused the forces of deliberately hiding the bodies to avoid public outrage and media attention.

He further said the ISPR falsely labeled the children as militants, despite the fact that Khan Muhammad was only 17 and Mehrab was just 13, both engaged in harmless hunting activities in the wheat fields.

The families and local activists have warned that if the bodies are not handed over immediately, they will be forced to stage protests in collaboration with civil society groups and political organizations.
