Shal (Web Desk): Sibghatullah Shahjee, a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, stated on the microblogging platform X that Pakistani forces arrested 9 women today in front of the Board Office in Quetta. He warned that those turning Quetta into a no-go area for Baloch people will eventually be forced to flee. “The state is responsible for the worsening situation. There is widespread anger among the people, and we cannot guarantee peace moving forward. If the public becomes enraged, no one will be able to contain them,” he said.
Shahjee further warned that if the state’s oppressive policies continue, a strong reaction from the Baloch nation is expected in the coming days. He also highlighted that Dr. Mahrang Baloch and Beebow Baloch are being harassed in prison, while Bebagr Baloch has been detained under the controversial Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) law. Similarly, Sammi Deen Baloch remains imprisoned despite being granted bail.
He criticized the state’s actions, stating that MPO has become a legal cover for oppression and lawlessness, and many others arrested in recent days are still in detention.
