Quetta witnessed a violent crackdown as Pakistani forces fired live ammunition and tear gas at protesters, leaving at least three dead and dozens injured.
Dr. Mahrang Baloch, a leader of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee, condemned the attack, stating that Pakistan has unleashed chaos by indiscriminately opening fire on peaceful demonstrators.
She further urged the people of Quetta to take to the streets, announcing that a sit-in protest is being staged in Sariab alongside the bodies of the martyrs. She also appealed for immediate blood donations at Civil Hospital.
The protest was initially organized to denounce enforced disappearances in Balochistan. However, Pakistani forces launched a violent assault on the demonstrators.
Sources report that over 35 individuals have been injured, with seven in critical condition, while three protesters have lost their lives.
