The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed that its fighters forced the retreat of Pakistani forces after an intense eight-hour battle, inflicting heavy casualties. According to BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, more than 30 enemy personnel have been killed, and several others wounded, while the occupying forces have suffered significant losses.
In a statement released to the media, Jeeyand Baloch confirmed that the BLA has maintained full control over the train and its 214 hostages for the past eight hours. The group has declared these individuals as prisoners of war under combat regulations and has expressed willingness for a prisoner exchange. The BLA has issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the Pakistani state, demanding the unconditional release of Baloch political prisoners, forcibly disappeared persons, and national resistance activists.
The spokesperson stated that the 214 Pakistani personnel, including military, paramilitary, police, and intelligence officers, are being held securely under international war protocols. He warned that if the demands are not met within the stipulated timeframe or if Pakistani forces attempt any military action, all prisoners of war will be executed, and the train will be completely destroyed an act for which the Pakistani military will bear full responsibility.
Jeeyand Baloch emphasized that this ultimatum is final and non-negotiable, warning the Pakistani state that the BLA possesses the capability to enforce its decisions swiftly and effectively.
